Yesterday morning a State Trooper from Troop A and an off-duty St. George firefighter were the first on scene to a crash in Livingston Parish involving a car and an 18-wheeler. The car became engulfed in flames, and the driver was trapped inside. TPR Chase Huval and firefighter Johnathon Dixon braved the fire and were able to get the driver to safety. Due to the quick actions by Huval and Dixon, she suffered only minor injuries in the crash. We wish her a speedy recovery! This is just an example of the courage and selfless service displayed everyday by our Louisiana State Troopers and first responders!

Wow this is very similar to the fatal accident I responded.
